GIRL SCOUTS GROUP 7 DAYS VACATION PACKAGE
Day 1:
Arrive to Costa Rica:
road. A welcome dinner will be waiting for you at Tropical Paradise Bungalows. (D)
Day 2:
Welcome garden tour:
After breakfast at the bungalows,you will then do a tour in the gardens and trails of the property to learn about medicinal plants and local crops such as pineapple and cassava or yucca, and some interesting trees like cinnamon, rubber tree and much more!
Rain Forest tour:
Get ready to explore the rain forest jungle near one of Costa Rica’s reserves: Maquenque. During this guided walk you can get wet if you want! You will walk on a trail to a beautiful waterfall in the rainforest and also search for poison dart frogs in their natural habitat, as well as learn some tips for surviving in the jungle. This tour has different levels for everyone in the family. (time 2 hours)
Natural hot springs:
After about a 10-minute walk in a transition-tropical forest on trails, you can soak and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature while sipping a drink in pools of different temperatures. This hot spring has drinks available for an extra charge, such as fruit drinks, soft drinks, piña coladas, etc. This hot spring is rustic and alongside a river in the middle of the jungle. (Located 30 minutes from the bungalows) (B, L, D)
Day 3:
Arenal Volcano Tour:
Learn the history of Arenal volcano in a small volcano museum, enjoy gorgeous views of the giant cone-shaped volcano and the lake at its base at a safe distance. (*No hiking is allowed at the base of the volcano, nor is walking up the slope allowed for safety reasons.) See the surrounding forest and watch for wild life during a walking tour, like the famous red eyed tree frog.
Chocolate/Coffee Tour:
Learn about growing chocolate or cocoa and coffee. You will make your own chocolate using your favorite ingredients and also taste natural chocolate. Also you can learn and try different types of coffee.
Optional ($58.00p.p.): Zip Lining:
This afternoon you will be in La Fortuna so you can walk in town and look at shops, or you can take an optional tour instead: zip lining! (*Optional zipline tour not included in package price, and must be reserved ahead of time) (B, L, D)
Day 4:
Blue Morpho Butterfly Farm tour:
On this interesting tour learn all about butterflies of Costa Rica and their life development, and see gorgeous blue morphos and others flying all around you. This is a local family business who welcome you at their property
Waterfalls Tour:
We will visit the Twins waterfalls in Bajos del Toro. This is a wonderful place to photograph
nature and cloud forest landscapes. Swimming will be optional in a safe area. (B, L, D)
Optional ($35.00p.p.): Río Cuarto Lake:
This beautiful lake with crystal clear water has volcanic origins, 64 acres in size, at an elevation of 380 mts. above sea level. Enjoy a peaceful experience of slowly paddling around the lake to see nature and the exuberant flora and fauna in the area.
Day 5:
Visit a Local School:
Share time with local students of different ages, depending on the school we visit. It could be from elementary age to high school age students. You will be able to practice Spanish, and they will practice their English, doing some activities together to interact.
Optional ($25.00p.p.): Cooking Lessons:
You will have the chance to take lessons to learn how to cook typical Costa Rica food.
A night for games, dancing lessons, pool time, relax time or a massage can be arranged at Tropical Paradise Bungalows:
You will have the chance to take lessons to learn
and practice Salsa, Merengue, & Cumbia music, plus a little Karaoke time
for those that like to sing! (*Massages

Optional ($40.00 p.p. 1 hour, $25.00 p.p. half hour): Massage:
Relax a and enjoy a 60 minute deep tissue or a soft massage.
Day 6:
Open day in our Tropical Paradise Bungalows:
Relax day. You can enjoy a massage in your bungalows, have pool time, or perhaps do an optional tour: Safari boat tour or white-water rafting are the choices your group has for an optional tour today.
Optional ($65.00p.p.): White Water Rafting:
Feel your adrenalin rush as we raft down the Sarapiqui river along the
edges of the tropical forest. This tour leaves at the Hacienda’s put-in and
runs 13 Km to a small town called Chilamate. This fun and adventurous activity
can be done year-round, and no previous experience is required. Class II and
III. (B, L, D)
Optional ($40.00p.p.): Safari Boat Tour:
You will enjoy a two-hour Safari boat trip down one of Costa Rica`s beautiful rivers by a wildlife reserve called Cano Negro. You will see many types of water birds here, and possibly caimans, iguanas, basilisk lizards, tree sloths, capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, and spider monkeys and long nosed bats roosting along the shore.
Travel to Alajuela:
Travel to Alajuela close to the Juan Santamaria’s airport. (B, L, D)
Day 7:
Return Home Flight Today:
The driver will take you to the airport at your convenient time. (*Keep in mind you will be a 10 minutes’ drive to the airport). (B)
