Day 1    Arrive to beautiful Costa Rica! 

  An AAA Tours or hotel representative will be at the San Jose airport waiting for you to take you to your hotel. –If you have an early flight you can travel to your first destination.

Day 2    Travel to La Fortuna & visit the Hot springs. You control the time to start each day!                                              

La Fortuna is a rural city located in San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. It’s location is approximately 6 miles from Arenal Volcano, one of Costa Rica’s active volcanoes. La Fortuna is a gateway to a magnificent waterfall that towers over 225′.

Hot Springs – Gorgeous gardens are the norm at the hot springs of Costa Rica. Sit below a cascading wall of water onto your shoulders or sit in a natural hot tub while observing the tropical flora. The thermal, pulsating water of the natural springs will leave you feeling invigorated and refreshed!

Day 3     Visit Caño Negro on a Safari boat trip

Caño Negro Safari boat trip – Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is one of the richest sites in the world for the observation of birds. The boat trip will last for approximately 3 hours as you travel down to Rio Frio lead by a professional guide. Get your camera ready as you search the riverbanks for caimans, monkeys and a multitude of birds and other wildlife and flora.

Day 4    Visit La Fortuna Waterfall

La Fortuna Waterfall is one of the area’s most popular excursions besides the Arenal Volcano. The waterfall towers over 225 feet and is surrounded by dense, lush tropical rainforest and an emerald pool of water below. The hike takes approximately 20 minutes from the entrance to the base of the waterfalls offering chances to spot monkeys, toucans and other tropical creatures. Swimming is permitted so be sure to pack your swim suit and water shoes. (You must be in good physical condition to do this hike)

Day 5     Travel to Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio offers the natural beauty of primary and secondary rain forest, exuberant wildlife, sparkling white sandy beaches, shimmering blue water and fresh ocean breezes. Here you might be able to see all four types of monkeys: howler, spider, white faced and the endangered squirrel money along with sloths and other tropical creatures.

Day 6    Visit Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio National Park: Located on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, this park is a beautiful mix of forest and beach which affords one the opportunity to swim and relax and also observe up close iguanas, capuchin monkeys, raccoons, tree sloths, coatis, etc. There a several trails in this park, one of which leads to a lookout point high above the ocean shore with beautiful views of the park below.

Day 8    Visit Espadilla Beach & Travel to Alajuela

Espadilla Beach is a beautiful pale gray sanded beach located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The consistent waves coming from the right, pack robust swells that tantalize surfers from all over, and are of superior quality. So whether you are sunbathing or sipping a drink while basking in the sun, Espadilla Beach has something for everyone to enjoy! Sometime after lunch you will be travelling to Alajuela, close to the airport to spend the last night.

Day 9    Fly back home after a great time in Costa Rica!

At a time convenient to you, take the shuttle from the hotel to the airport for your return flight home with many wonderful memories of beautiful Costa Rica.
