Day 1 An AAA Tours or hotel representative will be at the San Jose airport waiting for you to take you to your hotel. –If you have an early flight you can travel to your first destination.

Day 2 Travel to the Caribbean to the town of Puerto Viejo of Limon & Punta Uva Beach. You control what time to start EVERY Tour Day!
Puerto Viejo of Limon is a laid back Caribbean beach town located approximately 136 miles from San Jose, in the Limón providence. The Caribbean beaches of this area are known for beautiful crystal clear waters. Punta Uva beach is one of the best beaches for snorkeling, because of its visibility in the water and gentle waves. Explore a trail during a walk to Punta Uva (grape point).

Day 3 Visit Gandoca Manzanillo National park & beach
Gandoca Manzanillo National park & beach: This 32 sq. mile reserve extends out to sea, protecting a coral reef and 17 sq. miles of marine habitat where several species of turtles breed. On land the refuge has the only mangrove swamp on the Caribbean coast, Cativo forest, and tropical rain forest all swarming with wildlife. Manatees inhabit the lagoons and estuaries. There are coastal trails and inland trails here to walk and afford unparalleled opportunities for spotting mammals and an astounding diversity of birds (at least 358 species), amphibians, reptiles and the rare Tucuxí Dolphin.

Day 5 Travel to Arenal Volcano & Hot springs in the evening
Arenal Volcano: This was until just recently, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. The frequent eruptions have slowed down, but it is still an active volcano. Here you will enjoy majestic views of this colossal giant and the surrounding areas. Almost daily you can see smoking cinders tumbling down from the crater.
Hot Springs: Enjoy the thermal effects of flowing water coming from deep within the earth, rich with minerals from the volcano. The water is therapeutic for aching bones and joints.

Day 6 Safari Boat trip. This Tour is best done in the early morning to see the most wildlife!
Floating Safari Boat trip: Enjoy a two hour Safari Boat trip down one of Costa Rica`s beautiful rivers inside a wildlife reserve called Caño Negro. Caño Negro is a remote tropical everglade where you will see many water birds, caimans, iguanas, and maybe tree sloths. On a good day you may spot three species of Costa Rica’s monkeys: spider, capuchin and howlers along the shore!

Day 8 Travel to Monteverde Cloud Forest area & open afternoon
Monteverde Cloud Forest: The cloud forest is named for the ephemeral mists that always envelop them. Costa Rica’s cloud forests are typically found at elevations above 3,500 feet. One of the highlights in the area of Monteverde is to spot the gorgeous Quetzal, one of the most beautiful birds of the world. Be sure to visit the canopy before leaving the cloud forest!

Day 9 Visit one of Monteverde areas Cloud Forest reserves
Monteverde area Cloud Forest reserves protect over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds and 1,200 species of amphibians and reptiles. Here you might be able to spot a jaguar, ocelot, puma, margay, oncilla and jaguarondi. The reserve has trails for hiking and walking to enjoy spotting wildlife and birds of the cloud forest.

Day 10 Travel to Manuel Antonio beach & open afternoon
Manuel Antonio beach: A beautiful, small beach town, located on the Pacific coast. Because it’s located at the base of a wooded mountainside, there is a lot of wildlife to see, including the white faced Capuchin monkey!

Day 11 Visit Manuel Antonio National park
Manuel Antonio National Park: This national park is a beautiful mix of forest and beach which affords one the opportunity to swim and relax and also observe up close iguanas, capuchin monkeys, raccoons, tree sloths, coatis … There are several trails in the park, one of which leads to a lookout point high above the ocean shore with beautiful views of the park below.

Day 13 For today you can choose a tour: Canopy, Rafting, or a Catamaran boat dolphin watching and snorkeling cruise, it’s included! Early in the afternoon start heading towards San Jose airport area to stay your last night in Costa Rica.

Day 14 Fly back home after a great time in Costa Rica!
