CARIBBEAN ROMANCE 8 DAYS 7 NIGHTS

Day 1:

Arrive to Costa Rica Travel to Arenal Volcano area:

  Your driver will be waiting for you outside of the airport with a sign with your name ready to take you to Arenal volcano area. On the way stop to see waterfalls by the road to Tropical Paradise Bungalows where a welcome drink will be waiting for you …Once you arrive, you can relax by the pool on a hammock sipping a welcome drink.

Day 2:

Welcome Garden Tour (Free)

After breakfast at the bungalows you will then do a tour in the gardens and trails of the property to learn about medicinal plants and local crops such as pineapple and cassava or yucca, and some interesting trees like cinnamon, rubber tree and much more!

Rain Forest Tour:

 Get ready to explore the rain forest jungle near one of Costa Rica’s reserves: Maquenque. During this guided walk you can get wet if you want! You will walk on a trail to a beautiful waterfall in the rainforest and also search for poison dart frogs in their natural habitat, as well as learn some tips for surviving in the jungle. This tour has different levels for everyone in the family.

Natural Hot Springs:

After about a 10-minute walk in a transition tropical forest on trails, you can soak and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature while sipping a drink in pools of different temperatures. This hot springs is alongside a river in the middle of the jungle.

Day 3:

Cloud Forest Waterfalls Tour:

 Today you can choose one of 3 options. (1) A beautiful place with a deep canyon and massive waterfall. This is a wonderful place to photograph nature, cloud forest landscapes, and observe a nice variety of humming birds and other birds that inhabit this elevation in the cloud forest. (2) Two waterfalls with a blue river. (3) 8 waterfalls with a place for swimming. One is about 300 ft. high.

Day 4:

Arenal Volcano Tour: 

Learn the history of Arenal volcano, enjoy gorgeous views of the giant cone-shaped volcano and the lake at its base. See the surrounding forest and watch for wild life along the way. Open afternoon.

Day 5:

Travel to Puerto Viejo, Limon: 

Here the Caribbean Ocean awaits you for a great time! This part of Costa Rica is rich in Caribbean traditions and flavors. The village of Puerto Viejo retains an earthy laid-back quality where you will see open-air bars and colorful, unpretentious eateries, surfers, and Rasta’s walking around with their dreadlocks swinging to the beat of reggae and calypso music. forest and watch for wild life along the way. Open afternoon.

Day 6:

Open Day in at the beach: 

Enjoy Cocles beach which is 5 minutes walk from your hotel or take an optional tour. (Chocolate tour, Jaguar animal rescue center, Bri Bri waterfall, and horseback riding are some optional side tours.) *Just ask and we can reserve them for you. 

Day 7:

Open morning and travel to Alajuela (close to the airport):

You will check into your hotel and can relax in preparation for your return home tomorrow. 

Day 8:

Return home:

You will be shuttled to the airport for your return flight home at your convenient time. With great memories of your vacation in Costa Rica!
