Day 1 = Arrive to Costa Rica and travel to Arenal Volcano area.  Your driver will be waiting for you outside of the airport with a sign with your name ready to take you to Arenal volcano area. On the way stop to see waterfalls by the road to Tropical Paradise Bungalows where a welcome drink will be waiting for you …Once you arrive, you can relax by the pool on a hammock sipping a welcome drink.

Day 2 = Welcome Garden Tour (Free): After breakfast at the bungalows you will then do a tour in the gardens and trails of the property to learn about medicinal plants and local crops such as pineapple and cassava or yucca, and some interesting trees like cinnamon, rubber tree and much more!

Rain Forest Tour: Get ready to explore the rain forest jungle near one of Costa Rica’s reserves: Maquenque. During this guided walk you can get wet if you want! You will walk on a trail to a beautiful waterfall in the rainforest and also search for poison dart frogs in their natural habitat, as well as learn some tips for surviving in the jungle. This tour has different levels for everyone in the family.

Natural Hot Springs: After about a 10-minute walk in a transition tropical forest on trails, you can soak and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature while sipping a drink in pools of different temperatures. This hot springs is alongside a river in the middle of the jungle.

Day 3 = Cloud Forest Waterfalls Tour: Today you can choose one of 3 options. (1) A beautiful place with a deep canyon and massive waterfall. This is a wonderful place to photograph nature, cloud forest landscapes, and observe a nice variety of humming birds and other birds that inhabit this elevation in the cloud forest. (2) Two waterfalls with a blue river. (3) 8 waterfalls with a place for swimming. One is about 300 ft. high.

Day 4 = Río Cuarto Lake: This beautiful lake with crystal clear water has volcanic origins, 64 acres in size, at an elevation of 380 mts. above sea level. Enjoy a peaceful experience of slowly paddling around the lake in a raft to see nature and the exuberant flora and fauna in the area. You will also have the option of trying stand up paddling on this calm protected lake.

Day 5 = Arenal Volcano Tour: Learn the history of Arenal volcano, enjoy gorgeous views of the giant cone-shaped volcano and the lake at its base. See the surrounding forest and watch for wild life along the way.  Travel to Monteverde by van and boat part of the way. You will be picked up in town and be driven to Arenal Lake. At the lake you will board a boat crossing the lake for about one hour.  Just sit and enjoy the views of the volcano, the forest and the lake. Once you cross the lake, you will be driven to Monteverde where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 6 = Curicancha reserve natural history tour: A guided group tour inside the Cloud forest reserve. Walk along beautiful natural trails with an experienced guide and see different species of birds and mammals. Learn about the amazing diversity of the cloud forest. 

Day 7 =Travel to Manuel Antonio Beach: in the south Pacific. Along the way you will stop to see wild crocodiles by Tarcoles river, and pass through oil palm plantations. This mountainous beach area has beautiful beaches and lots of wildlife to see.

Day 8 = Open day at the beach to relax and enjoy the sun and waves. (surfing lessons, Catamaran tour with lunch and drinks and snorkeling included, Mangrove tour, these are all optional tours you can have us reserve for you for an additional cost)

Day 9 = Open day at the beach.

Day 10 = Return home flight today: A driver will take you to the airport at your convenient time, keeping in mind that you will be a 2 ½ hours’ drive to the airport.
